Brinly was born to a veteran and ranking officer in the Yovern military and a civilian arms merchant with a younger brother. They lived in Crimzono where he and his brother were frequently taken care of by nannies and other hired help. One day however, their mother Chel Haiesen, was killed on her way home during was thought to be a terrorist bombing. This caused a good deal of turbulence in the household. The boys father, Cecil, began to foster thoughts of intense paranoia and dementia. Convinced he would need to build up his own military force, he began to plot out how he would begin to stockpile arms and resources for 'the end', believing his sons to be required for his plans, being the only ones related to their mother. The insanity of their father eventually drove the boys to escape from home, hoping to live with their estranged uncle living in Uthgard.

Their plan worked well enough, even getting so far as to having transport to the agriculture town. Their father, however, had managed to track them, and attacked the vehicle they were on with explosives. Witness testimony claim the man to have been ranting on treasonous behavior as he threw home-made bombs. When one of the bombs had hit, Brinly fell from the vehicle and down several hills and cliffs. Waking later, Brinly claimed to have found himself in the underground jungle, and through a sequence of events, had left the jungle with a few new wounds and a fully grown salazzle intent on following him closely.

Brinly had then walked his way back to the road and managed his way to Uthgard, where local law enforcement reunited him with his younger brother and his uncle. During the attack, patrolling military units spotted the explosions and shot Cecil Haiesen down. However, the younger brother, Gage, had been crippled in 60% of his body by shrapnel piercing his spine.

Their uncle had supported the two for many years until Brinly had grown into a teenager, and knowing their only relative was beginning to become too old to be able to work, he joined the military, hopeful to make earnings for the uncle he owed and the brother who couldn't fend for himself. Eventually, Brinly voluntarily enlisted into the Anon Program with the Salazzle who continued to follow him that he'd named Tirie.

His tactics in battle tend to include often nonlethal tactics that specialize in holding points, reducing enemy morale, and capture of points and forces.  - This is a hip mounted device that has uses two-fold: it is both a wave cannon and a thruster. Use of the ability dragon pulse is dispersed by the unit to create moments of burst movement, but can be focused to fire the attack as per normal. In addition, the hip units can be unlocked from place and moved to change directional propulsion, as well as moved to be aimed when firing as a weapon.
